Two are what is required with with the diminished roster hence 16 field players are all you can have. that is quite a bit less than the 20 field players with a 23 player roster. They are also having to play on only two days turnaround. That makes the Olympics a much more physically demanding tournament than the WWC. Which is a good reason why it is so hard to win the Olympics the year after winning a WWC. It is very hard to celebrate properly and then be ready for the more demanding tournament.
