I know that Cantona doesn't get much love here, but the new string of Nike ads are great. The one with little Ronaldinho playing indoor tennis-soccer. Henry playing in the street (sorta) Cantona telling us to play with our hearts. It's basically a retro star telling today's players to play better, as if Mountain Dew decided NOT to attempt a silly hip-hop ad, and had Julius Erving telling today's players that it's about winning, and not highlights.
Eh. They're alright. The Ronaldinho ad is pretty neat. Cantona gets on my nerves. Of all people to admonish others about fair play. There was a Nike banner ad here on BS that pestered the shit out of me yesterday. Every time my mouse arrow ran over the banner, it would pop up one of those annoying flash commercials. Very irritating. That would make me NOT want to buy Nike stuff.
The new one with Rooney is pretty good, and when they show Tim Howard at the end is pretty cool. I still like the old ones with the Elvis song.
