he is, in fact, the first kuranyi seriously, he's quite good... excellent in the air, faster than he looks, a big man that his also good with his feet, reportedly an excellent teammate and a real gamer
I like his style of playing. He´s a grat combination player who is always looking for the double pass. He´s quite good in the air ,not slow, is working a lot in defense and can be a deadly finisher. What makes him so special to me, are his overall skills. If he keeps improving he will be our top striker for the next decade( together with Lauth), at least he is it already.
Certainly better than Neuville and Bobic. Riedle was actually a level above those two. Kuranyi has Riedle-like timing for headers only that he's bigger. He should have a carrer on a Klinsman level.
You can't compare Kuranyi to anyone of the other german strikers mentioned in this thread. As mentioned before, Kuranyi is quite fast and skilled. He has an excellent movement with and without the ball. He has a good shot and a good header, but he does ( unlike guys like Klinsmann, Bobic, Riedle ..) create a lot for his mates, too. Last season he had 15 goals and 9 assists. He's no dribbler but an excellent passer, especially in the box area where he is the ideal player for quick one-two passing actions. Perhaps you can compare him to players like Carew ( though this guy is way overrated imho..). He has a bright future in front of him imho.
It's way too early in his career to tell how good Kuranyi is. I seriously doubt he will turn out to be on the level with Klinsmann. As for Bobic and Neuville, they both suck. So being better than these two is nothing to brag about.
