Ah! I should've guessed. In case you're wondering, the other Portuguese wonder-kid in CM, Tó Madeira, is not on any Junior Teams. The reason is because he is not even a real player. The person responsible for researching the Portuguese lower leagues ended up putting himself in the game.
he doesn't do a very good job at scouting btw. He's very very biased in the rating he's handed out to some players.
There's more than just one guy doing the research. If I am not mistaken, I believe they try to get as many people as possible to help and make the ratings as accurate as possible. They prefer local guys; for example, that To Madeira character is from my neck of the woods (Serra da Estrela) and he actually at one time played for Gouveia. Where are you seeing the bias, Marco?
We talk a all-star team from Newark in 1992 to Portugal and we left with a record of 4 wins and 1 lost. We stay in Manteigas and were treated very well. In the first game we played in Mangualde and the first game in there rebuild stadium and we won 4-1. In Gouveia we lost 1-0 in the last minutes. We beat Maritimo from Murtosa 3-1 we went back to Serra and won 2 more games. Joe Manso was the coach of the all star team, one of the main directors is Augusto Amador the East Ward council, he set up the trip. I also was a director with the team. The all star team was also the NJ state champion U 23. Good times around Serra da Estrela. We also visit Covilha etc.
