I'm curious to know what everyone thinks. No top manager is going to come to Newcastle off of the name alone. Freddy is going to have to splash out total control and A TON OF CASH to get someone in our offices.
O'Neill should be up for the challenge once the wife heals. Of course, he'll have to be paid well, but Freddie should be willing to shell out for a quality manager. He shells out for crap players all the time.
Freddy Shepherd doesn't have a factory that makes money you know. If I was a Newcastle fan (they are the team I follow after Spurs btw), then I would be rather concerned about the clubs finances as it seems like European Football is beyond you this season. Let's start worrying about that before we worry about who is going to come in and spend a bucket-load.
