The schedule is going to be insane next year for many players. People really need to stop worrying about minutes. Half the team was injured this year and there weren't so many games.

 

I forgot to add that apparently there will also be an Intercontinental Cup in December if Real Madrid wins the Champions League. Complete insanity of games.

 

Isn't the CWC next summer taking the place of that?

 

They brought back Intercontinental Cup with CWC moving to summer tournament of 32 teams. I think CL champions play 1 game in International Cup format as they are directly in final. South American champions are in semis directly and will play the winner of playoffs between other continental champions.

60m for an 18 year old CB from Lille, on the last year of his contract, is idiotic (even in today's market).
As long as he shows the willingness to only join us, I believe we can strike a sensible deal with Lille.

 

So long as Yoro's first choice is Madrid, they can wait this out.

The great thing when one is winning is that you do not need to panic buy and everyone wants to come.

Perez doesn't have a money tree in his backyard, he won't engage in a bid war. Real CB position is well covered (Militao, Rudiger, Alaba, Tchou).

 

I disagree Alaba had issues and we don't know how he will be physically post ACL tear and Tchou is a midfielder. We need a CB.

Agreed; some of the posters are delusional. They get excited when we are chasing attackers or midfielders, but when it comes to defenders they suddenly become averse.

We only have 1 worldclass defender in Rudiger. Alaba is/was done, Militao is inconsistent and Nacho is gone.

Tchouameni does not want and should not play CB.

 

This is their source btw. And they say Yoro still prefers RM. Let's see if he does what Camavinga and Tchouameni did and reject PSG for RM.

Hard to imagine any player sees PSG a destination preference over us right now. I am not trying to be disrespectful but their project is in decline and with broadcasting rights being worth less the stability isn't there.

 

I mean PSG are even less attractive than when Camavinga, Tchouameni rejected them. Mbappe has left and team is filled with mediocre players like Ramos, Muani, Asensio, Kang In etc.

And everyone by now knows no good player can leave the club unless you are a free agent. That too after ill treatment on the last year like Rabiot, Cavani faced. So only reason Yoro ends up at PSG would be for money on Mendes' advice.

Reports have constantly said Yoro wants RM move, but Mendes is shady and we haven't had a client of him for long. So will have to wait and see how this play out.

 

I don't understand the panic or response some of you are having

If anything this is Mendez being Mendez. Trying to force our hand by seeking out PSG who will naturally agree any financial terms with the club or player.

If the player truly has his heart on Madrid he will come regardless of Mendez antics.

 

Would be out of the ordinary to have a Mendez client on the squad list again.

 

The summer is long, I don’t think anyone is rushing buying/sellling anything. Tchou is a great CB.

I feel people blow some things out of proportion. If Vinicius signs with Mendez tomorrow, peoole here will say we're selling him.

If the player is good enough and he's our target, we are going after him regardless of whose his agent.

 

All Mendez could do if his client only wants Madrid is to try and link with other clubs in order to drive the price up.

 

Does Mendes hate us for the Ronaldo saga? Or is he just shady like most agents in the sport?

My preference is a young CB with a high ceiling who can come and develop but also step in over a long season without us noticably being impacted much like Varane did.

 

That would be Yoro.
