OK dumb question, but here goes. My series is the 9th toughest dVI series. (problem 1) I cannot seem to beat the top 3 teams (problem 2) My coach has wretched leadership so PICS don't help me (problem 3) I am an IM trainer and pull an average of 112 in hatstats. I have decided to focus on next season, but I still hope to finish in 4th this year. Please help Groves Falcons VI.258 223945
Its tough to make significant purchases until you let your training cycle run some more. I see you are selling an excellent IM...maybe put that money into a striker. Your central attack is shabby. Also, 26 players is too much....22 or so is enough. Perhaps in selling off a few that can raise more cash to go into a better striker. Next thing to save for is a solid/poor coach which will cost 270K. that league leader in your div should be a mid-table D5 team at worst, you'll have a shot when he's gone.
1) Get the training program in place - this means Solid trainer and 17 yo trainees. It will take at least two seasons to really get up and running. 2) The top team in your series is likely gone after this year. No Names and Shuksan both have Solid coachs and are mid trainers - unlikely you will pass them by very easily this year or next. however, if you get a solid coach and trainees it is likely you can give them a run for their money next year and make the games close and possibly pull one or more out. Once you get the program in place it becomes about a little luck and strategy. Both other coaches are poor leadership so the use of PICs can be important if you get a lucky break on the schedule. Both your losses to them this year appear more lopsided than they should have been. Biggest thing is don't give up and keep getting better little by little.
it really just takes time and patience on your part.. your trainees will help your team get better and within a season or 2 u will see economic benefits from your program... the most important thing though, is to re-invest those gains into the training program... ie... its far better to buy a 17yo solid/excellent trainee than it is to buy a formidable/outstanding player no matter how old in any other position simply because that trainee will soon be more influential than that other purchase and will have resail value that goes up over time, as opposed to the purchase of non-trainees who drop in value. One quick way to get better is that when u are purchasing non-trainees... remember never to buy one who is too young (I'd go with the 24-28yo range). the reason i say buy in that age group is because those players cost less since they are no longer of a trainable age (not rapidly trainable anyway) when possible, get players with experience, and always, always buy the player u wanted to buy prior to visiting the list - there are tons of great players out there, but only a few that fit your needs.
If your just started you wont have to much money to spend. So i would buy a passable coach and 18 year old trainees, 17 are overpriced. Later in the game you could buy the solid coach and 17 yr old kids.
I am actually in my second season. The problem is my series is very tough. 18 yr old trainees are cheaper, however no guts no glory.
OK everyone, I sold and fired a bunch of guys and I now have 21 players. I also purchased a Solid/poor coach. Three of those guys seem kind of old to be training. If I were you I would sell those guys as soon as they pop, other than that, nicely done.
Here is my newest trainee: Benedik Ohnsorg TSI = 1 470 , 18 years, weak form Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: solid Passing: passable Winger: inadequate Defending: inadequate Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: inadequate I will sell Qin Fu soon. He should hit excellent in the next 4 weeks. I think I will keep Varela around as a backup.
