I didn't see the game. Just curious: how did the kid play? Did he add any spark out there? Was he nervous? Did he acclimate as the game went on? I saw his pass to Ruiz to set up the PK. Nothing spectacular but a nice setup (though Ruiz still had to do all the hard work to get the PK). Just wondering what everyone thought.
He looked like a 17 year old not used to the pace of professional footie. Can't say he looked bad at all...he just needs time to get bigger and get used to the speed. Must say, we've finally got someone who can nail corners though. I'm much rather have him take them than Cobi.
I saw Memo play a few times. He needs to get stronger. The future of USA Soccer is in playing these younger american players. It would be good for the future if MLS reguired a set number of U-18, U-20, U-23 players on each team. Does anyone have anything to add to this idea?
