...actually put a taped fishing show on ESPN2 that will end in time for us to watch a complete MLS match????

How will BS posters vent their outrage?

Where are all those College World Series play-by-play threads...:(

    Ohhhhh, the humanity...

Oh don't worry, ESPN will find a way soon enough to turn their back on this growing sport. Lets see, probably no highlights of a 4th of July sold out Mile High Stadium. They have already bent the arms of MLS owners behind their backs by forcing them to pony up the money for this years Womens World Cup. Confederations Cup?, forget about it. Peace Cup,? what the hell is that?

I thought Uncle Phil's AEG Inc. holds the rights for the WWC. He's buying all the spots on TV.

The sonofabitches could've shown a doubleheader instead of fishing.

I found it amazing how hard they work to make the stories of the bass fishermen dramatic.
It was like stories of Olympic atheletes finally achieving their dreams.
The music, the editing, it was amazing. I think I'll give up on soccer now and follow those amazing pro bass fishermen around the country. :)
I wonder if Saint Phil likes fishing? We could fill in the field at Victoria St. with a lake and put fish in it!

ESPN is trying to ruin soccer by putting an unpopular fishing show as the lead-in show for our beloved Soccer Saturday.

ESPN2 should be scheduling programming that will attract teens and youth, any x-sport will do - especially on a Saturday afternoon.

Fishing shows should be scheduled on Sunday mornings against gospel hour and political review-type shows.

If it wasn't for M.A.S.H. on FX I think I would go crazy Sunday mornings waiting for the EPL to start.

MASH attracts the teens and youth of today???

I really hope I misread your post, whether or not you think the show is funny is not the point...I don't think Hawkeye really 'grabs' the kids.
