How come we don't see any MLS players or coaches post on bigsoccer?

I said some bad things about Rick Titus in Colorado forum. He posted a message and called me an idiot in his reply. I find it amusing seeing a player show up in a message board to argue with a fan. I don't know if he is really Rick Titus. If he is, that's pretty funny.

I am wondering how come we don't see more players or coaches post on bigsoccer besides some GM's? Does MLS impose some sort of gag order or something? It would be interesting to hear Ray Hudson or anyone else defend themselves when people say bad things about them.

Unlike the rest of us slackers that inhabit bigsoccer, thankfully most of the players, coaches, etc. are busy enough doing their job that they don't make the time to post here.

I'd bet quite a few of them lurk from time to time, though.

Why do you assume they aren't on the boards?? because they don't have screen names like Tim_Howard_18?

I'm not saying that they are ALL on the boards but, I would venture a guess and say more than one player is up here...

Last year at the SuperDraft about 5 of us Wizards fans were talking with Tony Meola as we were leaving. Someone mentioned BigSoccer and Tony's exact words were "Whats BigSoccer..."

So we explained and he seemed utterly amazed that such a place existed.

I'm not sure about any of the other Wizards players lurking, I know they dont post.

I dont think the players should, it will get in their heads some of the utter crap that is written on BS sometimes.

I found out about bigsoccer from an MLS player (I forget which one) who was being interviewed by espn.com or ussoccer.com. He listed bigsoccer as one of the two websites he visited. I've been addicted ever since.

It's amazing how many brain cells I've killed off in the last three years, as that's as much of the details as I can remember.

It's a known fact that Bruce Arena lurks. Peter Wilt (fire GM) posts. I'd bet my left hand (I'm left handed) that Ty and Rob at least lurk. I'm sure that some of the players lurk, too.

Too true, too many DMB references for them not to be on bigsoccer. Also anyone notice Rob try and bait Claudio on the possibility of moving to right mid or right back during his interview? If that seed wasn't planted by BS, then this place must be a bad dream.

Putting real names down would be overated.

Reading an un-censored Ray Hudson would be legit.

I knew this thread wouldn't take long to digress.

There are probably more MLS people who read this forum for a meeting of the minds than one thinks.

Hah! Nice try Pakovits, but if you really were DeMarcus you would have spelled his name correctly.

My misspelling was the joke. Not a very good one for my "Sign of the Devil" post ;)

I wish for Annika. She's supposed to be in the next town over this weekend for an LPGA event.
