You know, he's just about my least-favorite MLS player, but Carlos Ruiz would probably get my vote for his awesome bicycle kick goal.

 

The shot was pretty amazing, but even more amazing when you consider it was on the end of a 50 yard free kick taken at on the run, full volley, wrong footed. And a golden goal in overtime, to boot.

Just voted. That RealVideo 9 35Kbps clip is atrociously bad quality - it looks like it went through a videophone or something. The WindowsMedia are higher bitrate, but unusable for non-Windows users. Annoying.

 

Yeah, I know what the word means. For some people, other parts of the dictionary are fun too.

Is there a save of the year? I just got reminded in another thread of the save Tim Howard had vs DC when he got to Santino's attempt of a chip....Have not seen a better save this season, although Walker's save on Sat. and one by Adin Brown earlier in the season were also very good

 

Ruiz bicycle kick was nice but haven't we already seen the bicycle kick in this league enough times? What we have never seen before is the kind of goal Wolyniec hit, nevermind that it came in the last second of the game.

 

It has my vote. He does lose a point for the goal celebration however.

He should have run into 101, grabbed Flip's beer, punched NYR Metros, given Jamison a wedgie and then led you all in a song. Well.. that's what I would have done anyway.

don't misconstrue me on this. w/ the rivalry and everything usually i would be playing the part of the evil troll. but that save caused a lot of tears in a lot of beers from me and my peers.
but i have to admit, thats why tim is in england. NOBODY else in MLS at that time makes that save, we win a possibly season changing game, etc. BUT NOOO! Tim "Neo" Howard ruined that paticular weekend for me. thnks
