i know u probably discussed this before but i dont understand. hey arent a rich club yet can afford to buy a 'galatico' in the region of 25-50million a year. Also, the local council bought them a brand new, state of the art training facility couple of years ago for them for free. Whats up with that?

Hmmmm....me think you mixed some things up. Real's current training facility was sold to the city/region of Madrid for BIG money (IIRC 300-450 Mio euros what made the club debt-free). The area is in a prospering side of Madrid....though there are speculations/rumours that the deal stinks as Real is well connected to the public politicians and maybe the price was too high. AFAIK this case also went to the EU court in Bruxelles and a decision whether the deal can go through hasn' been made yet.

Btw, Real's "Nueva cuidad sportivo" will be bigger than any other complex I know (IIRC it is 1,8 km²).

real madrid sold their grounds for a couple hundred million and then either got it back for free or leased for 0 money or something like that.

There are many rumors that the politicians were connected to Perez. The Their frinedship was the reason why the deal went through.

The city basically went to save Real Madrid financial problems. However, the area of training facility is in a good area. The city will probably make tons of money out of it.

False. The former Real current training facility was sold to some PRIVATE companies. The local council did not give Real Madrid any €.The council just recalificate the area and gave permission to build there(it was a green area or recreational area or something like that, and building there was not allowed. The council just give the permission to build there).
    LOL
The local council bought nothing.Real Madrid started the construction of his new training facility some weeks ago,and Real Madrid pays it,not the council.
Where will Real Madrid train until it is made?
In the Spanish FA's "City of Futbol".Spanish FA's leases it to Real Madrid for not much money? Why?
Because Real Madrid did let Spanish FA use his training facility FOR FREE during the last 20 or 30 years.
So Real Madrid sold his former training facility to some private companies,Council gave the permision to build some bussiness building in that area,Real Madrid is building his new "Ciudad Deportiva" and he is currenly using(until the new Ciudad Deportiva is made) the Spanish FA's "Ciudad del Futbol".
The new Real Madrid's training facility is going to be way bigger than the former one.And Real Madrid has gained a ton of money with the exchange. Why?
Because the former Ciudad Deportiva was in the best(most prized) area of Madrid, and the new Ciudad Deportiva is placed outside of Madrid.
Hope it helps, but that "Spanish Government/Madrid Council give Madrid 300M €" thing never seems to finish :(
Some people even says the King of Spain give Real Madrid money to solve the financial problems. :D I find it funny. How can be someone so stupid?

Government subsidization can be a very big problem, becuase it is hard to compete with teams that get government assistance (especially from a rich government), when most teams have to do with their own budgets becuase their goverment doesn't have enough money or they would rather build schools, hospitals or roads instead of football stadiums.
