I guess it's much easier these days with the internet and mobile technology, but how will people watch both matches? In principle the Algeria game decides th US fate, but the other match can come into play, particularly with who wins the group.

Where I live (Russia) I'll only be able to watch the US-Algeria match on live free-to-air tv according to the tv program (surprised that the England match isn't shown as they are a popular team here). I'm sure I'll be able to get streams, though I might just follow text updates on the net. Will it be possible to watch both games in the US?

As an aside in 2002 I of course wanted to watch the decisive US Poland match shown simultaneously with the S Korea - Portugal. I went to a popular expat bar assuming the match would be shown, and to my surprise found out that they could only show the Portugal match (they were showing a BBC feed via Satallite). Back then I couldn't get updates on my phone or whatever. So I watched it and was happy with the result knowing the US were thru. Only later did I find out the US had gotten their ass kicked. The irony was I could have gone home and watched the US match--it was on Russian television instead of the Portugal one. But given how it worked out I'm kind of glad I missed it :).

I'll have the game I'm more interested in on the TV, and the other game on espn3 on my wife's netbook.

this is my plan as well...I am guessing you don't get ESPN3 in Russia, though. I am sure there is an internet feed out there, though.

The joys of a two tuner Dish system with two tv's (or rather one tv and a computer monitor with an HDMI input).

I just bought a new VHS recording/playing system. I can tape the game on a tape, and if the U.S. loses I can smash the tape beyond repair.

One game on the tv and the other game on my laptop via slingbox. That way I can easily switch back and forth between the two. For the US Algeria game I'll be at the bar and I'm sure they'll have them both on.

    PIP is fantastic.

    Also, two TV's is fantastic.

Loved the idea when it came out, then I realized having a cable box with only one signal made the whole concept useless. Thanks a bunch Time Warner.

The ESPN3.com player lets you watch both matches at the same time. Seems to be working pretty well.

I won't even watch the England game unless is gets to the 70th minute and we're tied or losing.

    Then I'll just use ESPN3.

Either the two TV method, or one on TV, with the other playing on ESPN3.com.

For most the at-the-same-time games, I'll watch one mostly but also sort of flip between the two if there's a lull in my main game plus dvr them in case I want to watch the other one I didn't watch completely. PIP doesn't really work for me, because the tv is too small for the PIP one to really be watched unless it's a closeup or something. Don't get espn3.com (thanks Time Warner!) so I guess I could find a dodgy stream but I doubt I'll bother. Also, regardless of which game you watch you can't really avoid the result of the other one because they constantly update the score and sometimes show highlights from the other game (which is understandable), so in a way that makes it less interesting to watch the other one later. So yes, I guess I'm just saying "pick one" basically. For tomorrow it will definately be USA-Algeria. Other games it's trickier. Like the one coming up in an hour for instance, I'm still not sure which I'll watch (probably the Argentina-Greece just because it's Argentina, but the other game is probably more important in terms of the group)...

Same thing I did in '06: USA game on my big HDTV, other game on a 25" TV that is always in my den for purposes like these (or Euros, or college football season). Let's hope it works out better this time around.

Dual Tuner TV w/PIP or ESPN3 but I probably won't watch the England v Slovenia game unless things get really interesting.

how are people doing with ESPN3? I've found the quality horrible and the streams for me are much better quality.
