US Soccer states National Assignors are hand-selected. How do they chose who becomes a National Assignor?
What specifically are you looking to know? I mean, it's like they say, the individuals are chosen by the National Staff directly and by invitation.
The only things I know for sure are that they use people who live in that region and it's people who are well known to the administration. Most of them have a background refereeing in pro games in the past or have assigned for major US soccer events and worked with said admin closely at those events.
