Sannah is having problems in Europe. The team that has his rights is in financial trouble and the team that he was on loan with in England does not want him, so his German club is looking to find a place for him. Maybe MLS will take him back.

Would be good along side Pope.

I read that he earns $900,000 per year, I can't see him coming here for even the MLS max of $270,000 or so.

Maybe when his contract expires and assuming he can't hook on with somebody else over there, he might consider a return to MLS.

He can find a team in Europe. If I got the right impression he turned down WBA not the other way around. Arsenal were scouting him n the offseason too.

He might end up just sitting out the rest of this European season, only to come back strong and healthy, and in a better position to go to a really strong club. He has the pedigree for that and just needs the right opportunity. Nuernberg is a shambles for him now - should've never left Hertha Berlin.

At the end of 1998, when Sanneh's MLS contract expired and he started getting offers from Hertha Berlin, Kevin Payne wanted to re-sign him for DCU. However the deal didn't go through even though Sanneh said- and Payne confirmed- that Sanneh would have re-signed at less than MLS max, and less than what he was being offered to leave. But MLS wouldn't come up with the money and so he went to Germany. This is at the same time that DCU traded away Harkes for a draft pick and waived Gori due to being over the salary cap. Probably if Sanneh did re-sign then DCU would have had to get rid of other players. So really MLS treated United after 98 just like they treated the Fire this year.

Bottom line is that Sanneh at DCU in no way messed with the salary cap as he didn't make much, probably around 50K. When he signed to play for MLS and DCU picked him he was just another A-leaguer like Richioe Williams or Carlos Llamosa, both of whom also made well less than 75K on their origional MLS contracts.

Somehow I just can't see Sanneh coming back to MLS for a long, long time. He is going to latch on to some Euro. team, I guarantee that. He's a good, solid player who will probably land in the 1st division in either England or Germany.
