i have heard cezary kucharsky's (polish nats played i think 68 minutes for poland in the WC, plays in legia warsaw in the polish first division, which is the highest division over there) name mentioned once on these boards. so, i was just wondering what his chances are of coming even though it looks like osario and nunez.

i am a little confused about something else also some people are saying nunez is being realeased from sunderland but others say from some mexican team. so wats the really going on?

I posted that link to the Sunderland site - it's very old and I didn't mean to mislead. Nunez has been playing in Mexico for some time now. It was just interesting to read about how he did in EPL.

Nunez would be an excellent addition, but most likely will be too expensive for MLS.

Osorio may or may not be a good addition, we really don't know, but there's a chance we could get him.

I think Kucharski is the third option. He's an attacking midfielder who could play up top, and in that regard is probably more in the Alex Pineda-Chacon role that Ray utilized in Miami. Then again, Ray might use him as the attacking midfielder who plays through as a 3rd forward sometimes--ala Preki on the Miami Fusion. But I think the re-signing of Etch and the trade for Dema sort of put Kucharski on the back burner. He's a quality player, but Ray may have found that skill set from within MLS and without using an SI spot, so Kucharski's value to DC United isn't as high now.

What do you do at blinking red lights? :D

Sorry couldn't resist. I think Cesary is a great second option because he is more of an unknown around these parts than Nunez. But welcome to the boards - and maybe you'll get to wear red and white to a game this year.

30 but remember he is a very tough kind of player as most poles. i mean thier national team is considered one of the toughest in the world. also as i've been to poland so many times and played the guys there it is just amazing how hard they play. just imagine playing with 21 kovalenkos at once thats how hard they tackle and how rough the game is over there. so if he was brought up in the same tradition it would be great.

Can we bring Jim Schoenfeld out of retirement to yell "Have another donut, you fat pig."

    :D

That was for all the Caps fans out there. You need something to laugh about.

Cezary Kucharski was picked as the best soccer player in Warsaw in 2002.

And since he has not gotten a real offer from DCU yet, he's been talking to Legia to extend his current contract witht the team.

I agree with DigitalTron, that since the last trade, Kucharski has slipped from a first choice pick into the background.
