Its now been 290 minutes since anyone has scored in a Rapids match. The last 20 minutes of 2014 after Vancouver scored and 3 straight 0-0 games to start 2015.

That match may have set the MLS back a decade. Positives: + Let me think about that a while. + OK, thought about it. Irwin. Yep, that's it. Negatives - First touch. Communication. Finishing. Possession. - Sloppy officiating, not that it mattered. - LLLLLLLTLTLLLLTTT Pablo better not call this a "10 out of 10."
Wow, 0-0 once again. Powers and Ramirez were creative in the attack. I thought our passing and some of the attacks in the second half looked pretty nice. Obviously, it's the finishing and having a quality striker that is lacking. Pablo is probably content with a tie again. I thought Sanchez should have entered for Sarvas or Torres rather than Powers, who was looking good. Ditto the Badji for Ramirez. I would have subbed out Torres first, then maybe Sarvas, who I thought looked fatigued through final 15 minutes. Well, undefeated is nice, but 0-0-3 and 1-2-0 both give you 3 points. All in all, I am impressed with the team's mentality and work rate thus far, but of course scoring some goals is needed for wins.
That reminded me of something. Three or four years ago, Don Garber suggested that nil-nil draws should result in zero points, rather than one point. I'm glad cooler heads prevailed.
17 games without a win is half a season. I've been fairly impressed with how we've looked the first three games but we're way past the time for moral victories.
Here's one that I found. I remember him saying it, and thought it was one of his more ridiculous ideas.
Come on, I see lots of coments about how bad our striker(Torres,Badji) are but I do not agreed with that. In my opinion dillon powers played normal today nothing amazing like some people are saying and kill some fast transition plays with poor decisions, I would prefer play Sanchez or Alvarez in that wing position and put Powers in the mid with Sarvas . Clearly we can see that pablo is trying to play a more dynamical/skilled/fast style and we have skilled players to play that style(Ramirez,Sanchez,Torres,Sarvas,Pittinari). Obviously the team is working on that (its a work in progress job with the time they will do it better) each game is getting better and better on those aspects. Its a matter of time. Pay attention to the improvements this season from game one to now. First game was terrible we all agree on that but then the team is getting better and better in terms of passing and collective plays, Today they played a lot of good first touch plays, I know the defense give some chances to the opponent today but overall i think they played well. I like a lot the offensive combination of Ramirez and Torres and sarvas too. those fast plays requires great foot job and technical skills and the team did well most of the time. Some people on coments and TV comentator today blaming Torres with no reason to that. the lack of goals is not his fault this year. In my opinion Torres did very well today when he got the ball and also contribute on defense on some plays. Add to that the amazing keeper saves on last 2 games, the team create very good chances on both games but NYCFC and Dynamo keepers make great saves. Tell me something honestly after last 2 games performances do you thing is fair blame Torres for the lack of goals? Most of Torres shots were dangerous or force keepers to make a save not like the conversion shots to the sky of Brown and badji. The last year most of the fans were happy with the consecutive winning streak full of lucky penalties in our favor an then the main plan was all those ineffective and boring long balls to nowhere(buddle, brown) that was the most boring style of play I've seen and then reality smack on the face in second half of the season and things go wrong for the team till the end. Now it's the opposite we don't have goals yet But we have a strong defense and we are moving to a more dynamical/exciting/Smart style of playing. So of course they need to improve in many aspects but the are going in the right direction now an thats the most important right now. Time will tell. Go rapids
^ Holy novel My take on the game after watching it live, and after having a few hours to contemplate: Ugh.
