My company installed two fields this summer and they cost around $750,000/EA. These were for high school football stadia.
The heat is my primary concern. I visit Houston a couple of times a year and the heat can be incredibly oppressive during the summer. On the other hand, the city does get behind all of it's sports teams and the athletic director sounds like he really wants to make it work. I am going to hope for the best and look forward to catching games a couple of times a year when I am down there. I feel for San Jose, but what can you do? The deal is done. I want MLS to be successful so I hope it works.
