This is gonna be a slobber knocker. Here's hoping the humidity wilts Fafa a bit and keeps him from scoring his 10th goal

We all enjoyed the front that arrived lately, but the heat and humidity have returned so here's to a Canuck side having to endure 90 minutes of Gulf Coast love!

Once again, our guys do not bury their chances over the course of the match. Merge this with Vancouver keeping their hopes alive, well, they are rewarded with an equalizer. As always with the current crop of players, our guys find ways to drop points at home.
It appears that with so little media coverage and overall odd team spirit that our current crop of players just can't find the motivation to see the game through to conclusion. Specifically at home. If winning in MLS was really important to them, they would not ship goals late on like they do. Just weak mentality for lots of our players. The reverse of Ching, Rico, Eddie, De Ro and so on who never said die!

Pretty frustrating season. I want to be measured about it because for me, I don’t know how much of the home problems are avoidable and how much is bad luck — though it is sports. You have to make your luck but it does apply.

It was very frustrating to see our team not adjust to VCW’s halftime adjustments. They moved to a 442 with more of a mid-block.

But what really frustrated me is that, once again, we get caught up the field (specifically Dorsey) when we have a lead late in the second half. Dorsey is behind the play and Dorsey’s guy Fafa runs through our stretched defense (stretched because Dorsey is upfield) and VCW create THE BEST chance of the game. Why can we not be disciplined and committed to tight defensive structure in the second half with a lead? Why do we need Dorsey to EVER go upfield when we have a lead with 15 minutes to play? Why? I realize you have to keep attacking — parking the bus is not what I am saying. I’m just saying stop sending backs forward and attack with just your attackers and stay solid at the back. Make them have to score off some random cross and a lucky bounce — they way we have to score.

Oh well. Frustrating. Five games left. Four wins should get the job done. 3-1-1 would end on 55 points and that MIGHT be enough but I suspect it will not. Not this year.
