The cool thing with this Houston vs. L.A.G fixture is that the roots were laid with Dom, Spencer, the back room staff and of course Ching, De Ro, Pat, Rico and all the other original Dynamo players that played for San Jose and were tossed back and forth by AEG over them moving the team to San Diego, St. Louis or the like to ending up here in Houston. Thus, our original team had a real dislike for the Galaxy as shown in that Nor. Cal vs. So. Cal Derby. As the years have passed in MLS, L.A. has their own Derbies with SJ and Trafico with LAFC. We have our own Texas Derby with Dallas and growing Austin encounter. Wanting to defeat the L.A. Evil Empire evolved into something real, something not geographic or routine Conference based but forged by actual WFC lights going out, back to back MLS Cup Finals and a Semi Final Open Cup encounter to boot!

GET 'ER DONE BOYS! DALE DYNAMO!!!

Winning in dramatic fashion was nice. Ruining their playoff seeding was *chef kiss*

I was hoping for RSL, so when Steres whent all C. Ronaldo I was not very excited. Then I saw how destroyed LAG was and I thought ... worth it. Cool.

How great to feel that energy in that building again. It has been a loooong time.

BTW. Great game. LAG is a scary bunch.

I was pretty mad at Dorsey in the 2nd half. Lucky we got rescued on the Pantsil goal where Dorsey decides to just give Pantsil whatever space he wants. And while we hold a lead no less. Then he serves in that gorgeous cross ....

Coco's goal, which was stolen from him off the line, was damn impressive. Great team play. Fantastic from Coco to sit down two defenders and fake out McCarthy ... then the cruelty of his shot going in at one of the few exact heights to bounce off Yoshida.

A redditer has posted that Glenn Davis was saying on his commentary that the Dynamo bench were trying to tell the team not to score ....

I guess Steres had a more important score to settle ...
