The big games come thick and heavy now. Fresh off the tremendous high of claiming the now improved-in-prestige USOC championship is a HUUUGE game against the eternal rivals. This is a must win game if the Dynamo want a successful MLS campaign. Dallas can go from last playoff spot to jumping ahead of the Dynamo by winning, and pushing the Dynamo into a real scrap. The Dynamo need at least two wins out these last four. Win this one and securing a top-4 finish is within their grasp. Lose, and I think they still make the playoffs but will face a tough task on the road in the first-round and a first-round exit will not validate the USOC achievement. We all know it from history. Falter now in the league and the Cup won last night will be diminished, will be considered a fluke. What a test for the staff and the mentality of this group.
That is not correct. If Dallas wins they would still be below the Dynamo on tie-breakers. Unless you mean in your adjusted standings. No idea the consquences in that.
Your right (of course). I must have looked at the wrong row in the standings for FCD’s record. Somehow I thought it would get them to 13. The more important point I should have made is that the Dynamo would likely fall out of top-4 with 2 of 3 games left on the road.
That 3-3 game in 08 was Geoff's coming out party if memory serves. So many fun memories from this rivalry. **** Dallas.
Cameron scored on his pro debut. In a derby match no less! First game of the season that year in '08 iirc. My buddies and I ran into the players in the old Rob's parking lot late after the game. I went bonkers and tackled him to the cement, screaming in joy and thanking him for such a golazo!!! Naw, I just shook his hand and told him job well done rookie! And as always, ******** DALLAS!!!
Trap game Trap game Trap game After a cup hangover, this...as you may have heard....is a trap game. Our resolve will be tested, especially after the 65th mnt when legs and minds start to falter. PS A couple of our influencers are out due to accumulation so add that to the fire
I'm just hoping he escapes with only a yellow. If Frisco is smart, they use the dark arts on him so he loses it & gets tossed

Right now it looks like 51 points will be needed to win home field advantage in the first round. Dynamo are working on a 49 point season (assuming no more road points). Road points are doable however, but not easy. @ POT and @ MTL. Top-4 will be tough without full points at home from FCD tonight. This little trap game tonight is so important. Here are tonight's important games for the Dynamo with Rooting interests: NSH win over SEA. MIN win, or at least a draw hosting SJE. LAG win hosting POR. Any result by DCU @ VAN. Tomorrow: RSL draw @ LAFC.
It's looking a bit more full than usual this time. There's a guy in full Indian headdress down at field level. I got here super early and parking was already really packed. There was a huge line to take pictures with the Cup.
Definitely a lot of people here, but it's not sold out. Of course, there are always those people who buy tickets just to walk on the concourse all game.
I thought Max Bretos was a good announcer? I was very unimpressed by him tonight. The broadcast sounded more like a podcast at times than commentary, which isn’t egregious but annoying at times. Then said Raines was subbed in when it was very clearly Aliyu. They talked about Copa Tejas with no mention of El Capitan. I usually don’t get too mad about announcers but he was poor tonight.
Good point. Most of the Apple crews have been decent enough. But yea if we get this guy again I’m flipping over
