D.C. United Starting XI: Hamid; Russell, Jakovic, Dudar, Korb; Boskovic, Saragosa (c), Kitchen, DeLeon; Santos, Pajoy Available subs: Willis, McDonald, Woolard, Augusto, De Rosario, King, Salihi Fascinating ... look at that bench. Woolard, King and De Ro ... 3 guys who haven't played in months. I actually like the plan of attack of putting 2 big bodies up front to wear that defense down. Branko on the left should be whipping in crosses all game with 2 big targets. Dudar is also good at picking up the long ball. This lineup should match Houston's physicality in the 1st half and as legs tire hopefully it can open things up for our finesse players in the 2nd half (De Ro and Salihi) If I see one weakness it's our fullbacks trying to contain Boniek and Kandji. Our best bet is to have Branko and De Leon really active to force their wingers to come back and defend

When the RFK loud side fills up it's more impressive than anything else in the Eastern Conference by far. Definitely better than Houston's shiny new stadium with a tiny supporter section tucked in the corner
That goal was a shame. So much good work getting the ball into the attacking 3rd but the strikers are just not holding things up. As a midfielder it's frustrating to see the ball come back at you so quickly
Bring Salihi on FFS, Olsen how many times do we have to watch Pajoy's disgusting performances before you see that he isn't good enough. Big performance in the second half needed. DeRo needs to come on in place of Saragosa too.
Well, shit. DC played a pretty good half, but that goal, obviously, is a killer. Pajoy is having a harder time holding the ball up today - the Houston defenders aren't letting him body up as he has in earlier games, so they can step in front of Pajoy and intercept the pass. Without DeRo and Pontius, our two best scorers, it shouldn't be a surprise that we struggle to finish. Well - bring on DeRo, bring on Sahili, and full speed ahead. R.
Not creating clear chances and no one looks capable of scoring on a half chance. Pretty weak goal to give up too, no one tackles and Hamid gets beat near post and high.
Pajoy and Santos are making Boswell look like the best defender in the league Regardless of what happens I think this Salihi vs. Pajoy is the one big black eye on Olsen's decision making this season. It's so inexcusable, it almost tarnishes all the other brilliant decisions by Olsen this year.
