If they want more fans for the Dash they need to quit trying to pander to limited groups of people and concentrate / investing more than what that have been doing to scouting, players, youth development, and coaching. Losers will not build a fan base in Houston. Owners still trying to get salespeople and marketers to promote a bad product. Wasted effort.

Oh God they traded Mrs JJ Watt!!! What will we do now????????

Sounds like she requested a trade, seems like quite a few of the Dash do so yet they never do jack while they are here, like they all think they are better than they show

She apparently wanted to move closer to JJ's home in Wisconsin.

Dash attendance gonna drop 10% since the 400 people actually in attendance can’t just take a pic of JJ in the suites and retweet it. How many times did we hear how good it was that the Dash had a player with a famous spouse?

Never cause none of them ever had a famous spouse. Nice try though.

A former player has a famous boyfriend, now fiancee though.

Ok “fiancée” whatever on the technicality - clearly if the stated reason is a requested trade to be close to Wisconsin then the technicalities aren’t that important.

Once again, this is a reminder that if social media was reality, the Dash would be drawing a ton of fans and Hilary would be President

By the way, I forgot they got her finagled in as the Grand Marshal of the Rodeo parade this year and now she’s not even on the roster. . . . . That’s so Dynamo/Dash it hurts

This Twitter thread is also hilarious - “end of an era”!!!!!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: What era? The one where the team sucked and never made the playoffs and no one wanted to play here?? Or the one where the NWSL was populated with national team players who acted like divas and activists?

The best is the WNBA clapping tweet!!! The whole thing is hilarious, especially how seriously people take it.

But once again shows that social media is not reflective of society

    Correct.
If one has ever taught in a major U.S. city's inner city school district, there are so many topics for discussion that need Americans to take serious. And yet, meh is what we get from so many people. But read these comments on Twitter and how serious people take a title on an article in cyberspace... and it's gang warfare, teen suicide and high school dropout rates that somehow fall on deaf ears.

Boy, tickets must be selling like hot cakes for them to do a BOGO offer a week before the games - and after they’ve already sold full price tickets to others

from a Chronicle article about the women’s qualifiers this week in Houston- not sure if Carli was trying to be funny or if the reporter
Didn’t get the joke about her being glad to be in Houston!!!! Like home!!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

“Lloyd plies her trade with the National Women’s Soccer League’s Sky Blue in her home state of New Jersey. She was traded to the team in 2018 after a stint with the Houston Dash.

Now she’s back in Houston practicing with the national team.

“I was just saying it when I pulled up: It’s kind of like home. I spent three seasons here. Had some great times, great memories,” Lloyd said, standing near the same field that hosts Dash practices at Houston Sports Park. “It’s good to be back. I think we’re all eager to kind of get these games going, and ‘qualify’ is the big thing for us.”

“FOX Sports is excited to further its commitment to the sport of soccer through this new agreement with Concacaf,” said Mark Silverman, FOX Sports President, National Networks. “The U.S. Women’s National Team captivated a country with its World Cup victory last summer, and we’re honored to showcase this inspirational team once again as they begin their Olympic journey this week. Furthermore, we look forward to offering more men’s soccer, including the next two editions of the Gold Cup and the U.S. Men’s National Team Olympic Qualifiers.”

Gee, for as popular and empowering as everyone claims that the USWNT is, that's a really meager crowd at BBVA Stadium to see all the heroes in action - even before the rain there couldn't have been more than 2,000 folks there.

Just goes against everything I ever hear about them and about the great support everyone gives womens soccer in this country

Well they announced 14,000 which is 2/3rds capacity and there clearly weren’t close to 2/3rds of seats filled. If you ask for proof from him, he’ll ask you for proof it isn’t true when he’s the one who has access to the real info
