    Vote for about 3 colors.

Please list your specific color combination below, and an explanation if you have one.

Always liked the Partick Thistle/Ft. Lauderdale Strikers look.

    Very distinctive.

Maybe more Roma like. Or a burnt orange with black.

Maroon and Gold would be cool. I like Arsenal's jersey, and that's what I have in mind when I say those colors.

Pink and Black haven't been used in MLS yet and would go over well in Texas.. ;)

Wow, a groundswell for orange! I agree, TOTAL football fits the former SJ Earthquakes, as well as any team in the league. I can see orange, with some brown/gold accents.

Maroon or Orange would be great, maybe the maroon can be used similar to the Arsenal jersey or to some extent Roma's.

    Orange & White looks okay.
Home Depot or Holland orange, not UT orange.

I bought jersey for selecet team. I use to coach. I went there and was little late for shipment. Dude had Pink and Black UMBRO Diamonds. Save couple hundred and team was unique. I think. I actually enjoy it. They chose Flamingo's as mascot.

Yeah, go with pink and name the team the Hotspurs and I think we're on to something. :p

    ...

I'd actually like to see orange, but it would be hard to use any hue of orange for a team in Houston without making it seem that if you're pandering to UT fans.

It would also be cool to have a green team in MLS again.

Green would be my favorite, in same design as Feyenoord, similar to what scaryice posted.

I used Mr Sangster's original pic above, and adjusted the colors to fit Peruco83's idea... Stripes optional, of course.

Orange, maroon and black (with silver lettering on shorts).

I found a pretty cool web page to type in the exact color mixtures in whatever imaging software you might use:

Orange would be cool - how about using the old Astros color combination - retro, distinctive and easy to recognize.

That's what I'm talkin' about! Nice & simple.

I don't like the orange & maroon. The blue & yelllow is really nice, and green is also a good choice.

We like the yellow and blue design here in the fordfjord household as well, but I have to wonder if there is there any chance that they will they go ahead with that scheme (including the eagle as mascot) as Clube America did not have anything to do with putting the team here?

Here's something 'different' for MLS......Houston can sport an all-white kit a la LEEDS UTD or REAL MADRID. Maybe this choice would lead to clubs moving away from their all-white away kits!
