Bill O'Brien on Kenny Stills: 'Relative to social justice initiatives, I love the players, I have the players' back. I'm not going to get into any discussions with players. I support social justice initiatives.'— Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson_NFL) September 2, 2019 Any thoughts/opinions on this @Westside Cosmo
I couldn't think much less of Bill O Brien to begin with so this doesn't lower him any further than the zero he was already at on my meter. Can't believe they actually traded for this headache given that rumors were Miami was going to release him. He's all in for this year since he mortgaged the future in his two botched trades. He's Matt Jordan with more attitude. Texans have botched most of the last decade in the weakest division in football.
Great sports weekend in Houston. Astros up 2-0 in their 1st round playoff series, Texans win big over the Falcons, and the Dynamo beat the Galaxy on Decision Day again.
Correct! It really was a weekend where the town got to celebrate on all fronts. I had an awesome time this weekend!!!

Well sports fans, here is a Houston team down 0-2 in a series...our boys better CLUTCH CITY! C'MON 'STROS!!!
I ran into Rudy T at the Subway at Westheimer and Hillcroft circa 2003, I was able to explain to him just how much he and that era of our Rockets meant to so many of my buddies and I. Recalling this Heart of a Champion quote that was told to the world! He was very cordial in his response, very down to Earth to talk to.
Game 7 of the World Series tonight downtown at Minute Maid Park First pitch will be at 7:00ish on free TV Fox local 26. GO 'STROS!!!!!! Here is some interesting stats on tonight's game with the baseball history to add to it tonight: Very cool read! https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/27962182/all-world-series-game-7-facts-need-know
I consider the Mexican Civil War and the fight against Dictator Santa Anna in which our State of Tejas became the only Mexican State to win against his domain, the combatants of Tejas, as a home team. Specifically for the very reason that our great city is named after the lead General and greatest State representative to the world Sam Houston. I will place this here: Fascinating the history and legacy of the Alamo. https://www.yahoo.com/gma/alamo-wor...n-efforts-214653500--abc-news-topstories.html

Big day for Houston’s local pro sports teams tomorrow. Dynamo preseason at RGV, Roughnecks XFL home opener, and Sabercats rugby season home opener. First, the Sabercats game is 11:00 am. Then, the Roughnecks game is 4:00 pm. Finally, the Dynamo preseason match against the RGV Toros in Edinburg, TX is 7:00 pm.
"Other" Sports teams 3-0 on Saturday. Sabercats had a good defensive win against a high scoring team. Beautiful day at the stadium. Can't comment on the XFL team, but the score looked good.
I’ve been thinking a lot about how the Dynamo picked the wrong time to be terrible (on and off the field). Rockets, Astros, Texans all seem to be playoff teams for the next couple of years. Roughnecks, Sabercats, Skeeters can take away some of the budget ticket buyers that can’t or won’t support the high NFL and NBA prices. Coogs are good again and selling tickets. A&M, UT, LSU are technically part of the Houston market. Sht, even the Theatre District is bringing some broadway heavies through town the next couple of years. God help us all if we get a hockey team.
Really good crowd, I'd estimate that the 40k stadium had around 25k people there. The concessions need improvement because the lines were huge. Parking was efficient but you need to get there early. Video stuff shown on the boards are first class and professional. Every one in the stadium was really into the game and it was loud. After being here about 50 years I still don't understand the damn sport, but I do like the kick offs. I actually have season tickets just to support an Oliver Luck venture and I think given this first game attendance that XFL will find a place. It's right after superbowl, tickets are very reasonable, and its a fun time. They even have a better hash tag than the Dynamo #ForTheH. p.s. Beachballs are allowed too
