Who knows, maybe this will become a trend and new soccers fields will result. This is in Miami. --------------------------------------------- Two clubs will train at the Hilton Hotel on University Drive in Sunrise, which has one on-site soccer field and a second under construction. In the absence of the Fusion, the Hilton and its booking agent, local promoter Eddie Rodger, have been about all that has kept Broward on the soccer radar. It was Rodger who went to the Hilton a couple years back with the seemingly hair-brained idea to turn vacant land adjacent to the hotel into a soccer field. The hotel bit on the notion and now almost every team that passes through here sets up camp at the facility. Once the road hotel for all MLS teams, the Hilton has booked U.S. national youth teams, Argentina's River Plate, D.C. United and Haiti's National team this year. The U.S. and Canadian under-23 teams will train at the Hilton from Dec. 15-22. River Plate, Swiss club Grasshoppers Zurich and Chilean league leader Catolica may visit in January. Some MLS teams will be there during spring training in March.
