I knew it was something insane like that. Marshall was never good until Grassie got to Huntington in 2017 but they wasn't a poverty program either, they would always usually win 5-7 games.
I don't know. I remember seeing them a few years back and they had a pretty nice GK at the old stadium. They played against KY who had a pretty nifty CB, named Rice - I think he played in MLS the next season. But, my memory is going.
Daniel Withrow - was 4-time all-CUSA GK, CUSA Defensive PotY in 2010 and was CUSA PotY in 2012. He spent some time with the Columbus Crew in 2013 and Portland in 2014, but had little meaningful play at that level. He is now a sales rep for Nike.
Sometimes people make assumptions about people being on the hot seat and will post it here when in reality, they're not on the hot seat. Sometimes those posts are made by someone with an agenda or, perhaps, a bitter parent that is not happy how little Johnny's experience is working out and has an axe to grind with the coach.
Go through the thread... all three were mentioned at one point or another and you can add Embrick to coaches mentioned... and I'm guessing Embrick is now safe too. Nothing better than the NCAA Tournament when your seat might be at least a little warm.
... and that is why they are OFFICIALLY OFF THE HOT SEAT (whether they were on it or off it only their administrator knows for sure) and probably should not be brought up for at least three years. We may want to call it the "Sandon Bump"... The day he mentioned George Gelnovitch as a possible inclusion to the list UVA crushed it.
Probably not, George Gelnovatch is finishing his 28th season in Charlottesville he is 366-147-68 and 26 NCAA appearances with 1 championship, 3 runner ups and 4 college cup final 4. I doubt Gelnovatch goes anywhere until he retires. Same with Furman's Doug Allison. Allison was hired at Furman 2 years before Marshall even left the conference. In that time Furman has made the tournament 11 times and has had 2 Sweet 16s and and Elite 8. Thats pretty impressive when you are in a one bid league for the most part. A lot of people jump the gun on things they don't think though.
