We go over this quite a bit on the women's forum about hiring and gender. For decades and decades minorities were specifically excluded from positions because of their race, gender, etc. - and now with years and years of rigged experience to prop up CVs it is "the best candidate should get the job." Convenient.

As they say on espn, COME ON, man!

I have neither the time nor the patience to convey how completely incorrect, insulting, and ignorant this is. This isn't even a matter of opinion. You're just wrong. Do better.

I suppose the best runner won fair and square... because meritocracy, or something.

The best runner always wins the race. Common sense really. :)

Well, Behonick didn't end up at Oregon State. But, he's got his own program now. Probably a great hire for WOU. Definitely lucked into this one with a program that just started in 2022 -- and had a forgettable inaugural year.

Thanks - I hadn't seen that Behonick went to Western Oregon. Here's the link.

About to be a bunch of French and Brazilians on their way to Oregon to turn that program around.

Still no Detroit Mercy hire, this has to be some sort of a record.

The hire has been made, just no announcement yet. Stupid...and strange.

Thanks for the link (above - @JoeSoccerFan) for Behonick, I meant to put on the link to the Twitter announcement.

Have these coaches applied for other positions? Just because they fit the criteria that you presented it does not mean that they are open to change employers.

Dannie Merida is big time. Driving force behind FIU's success over the past few years, couldn't have been done without him.

Back in it. But, so far, it appears the assistant (Robbie Tarver) will be the interim for the fall.

Is this perfect timing for Giovatto or what?

I'm sure he'll have heavy competition and but he's got to have the inside track, no?
