It it just me or is the Arsenal away strip taking on a more flattering look in light of the recent spate of away wins? I've been looking to upgrade from the JVC era lately, maybe I'll splash out on one of those, I actually saw one at Nevada Smith's for the Leeds-Arsenal match and it wasn't half bad
great when you're winning Yup that's true, the could be sporting a kit the color of rancid custard and I'd probably be dribbling at the sight of it. Ah sweet success!
It is just you (unless it's just me). The away kits are still horrible, and what's worse is that the club are trying to force them down our throats by making the players wear them when they don't have to, like at Leeds or even yesterday, where the traditional red kit wouldn't have clashed. That's enough for a nomination to the (recently dormant) UCI in my book.
I think both of Arsenal's kits are starting to grow on me. Lets just put it this way, Arsenal's away kit isn't as bad as Leeds away kit. Same design, just one utitlized very wrongly then the other.
I wouldn't bother getting the away kit, as it probably has a "one season shelf life" when we changed from Adidas to Nike, and the first blue away kit lasted only one season. As the home strip will have a two season deal, and with a new sponsor "O2", they won't change both shirts at the same time. Either get the red now, or wait another yet until the new away strip (probably and hopefully back to yellow) comes out. Personally I don't like either. The red one looks like a training bib over a tee shirt, and the away is a Pepsi can. Only improvement can be made by adding a gold star to each after 28 May 2003!!!
Ive seen nearly every Prem game this year and have not noticed the patches. Am I blind or are they small. And where would I find a picture of the patch?
I purchased a lettered home strip,FL8, but was deeply disappointed. While I'll be the first to admit that I need to buckle down and lose the beer belly, I've never had a problem with the Nike XXLs. That is, until now. I don't know if the shirt was mislabeled or if Nike has started skimping on the material, but this shirt is just too tight to wear. I'm quite depressed about it actually. Thankfully, my gf's mom is looking into doing some alterations so that it will fit - we'll see how it goes.
You better shape up in time for the trip, or you'll be on the receiving end of some "Who Ate All the Pies?" chants. (By the way, I can only say that because my XXL JVC jersey fits my fat Arse just fine, thanks.) Edit: Read your other post, Mike, never mind. That stinks, but that's the way the economy's going these days.
