Why was he a starter going into GC. He was awful in the NL vs Honduras and then dropped vs Mexico. It wasn't as if that was his first bad game either. I am not sure where his good games in usmnt shirt were. He came off the bench the next two games and then called in for the game at Honduras, which I am not sure how that made any sense. That doesn't seem quick either.
I'm not sure, but it probably has to do with using the entirety of the player pool at a time in the cycle where results didn't matter, and there weren't any better 6s available.
