I agree. Much better than Newcastle in the FA Cup— amazing what happens when you go at City. Ederson, by the way, is beginning to believe his own hype.
Alpine Klopp has performed magic with Southampton - and Ings right at the center. I hope they don’t sell Danny.
It’s a pity that he couldn’t stay injury free at Livery. But I’m glad for him now and how well he’s doing.
So ..... Man City? No longer the greatest team ever after beating Liverpool last week in their World Cup? (all credit to Soton though)
They are the best team in the world when at the top of their game. But that is loss number 9 on the season. Liverpool have only lost one game in two seasons against teams other than Man City. They lost their relentlessness and consistency this season. We will see if they can flick a switch and get it back next season
Tonight’s result means Man City’s maximum possible points tally for this season is 81.Liverpool reached 82 before lockdown #asterisk— Andrew Beasley (@BassTunedToRed) July 5, 2020 Liverpool could have stayed in lockdown and still won the league.
The Lil snake said 'Next Season starts today' after beating Liverpool. They've already dropped points again in the New Season. They're a great team but far from the best team in the World with that Joke of a Defence@Suss.
There was a report by the DM’s Northwest football correspondent where he claimed exactly that— next season started with the “... 4-0 demolition of Liverpool ...” and continued with Liverpool’s laboured victory over relegation strugglers in Aston Villa. ‘ahem, that was before City list to Southampton. Tee hee hee — the story has completely been recast with the 4-0 victory not being that important. The “laboured 2-0 victory” was important, though, since it showed Liverpool needed to spend given them back ups are inadequate.
Everton looking decidedly pedestrian against Spurs, who themselves are not exactly some incredibly dynamic side. What are they really paying for with Ancelotti's wages? Feel like those resources could be better allocated with a younger manager who could grow with this side, but who knows.
