Kind of torn as if Levante survive it could potentially be at the expense of Girona... and obviously we've got a few boys in the youth set up there. Hopefully results go Levante's way and they beat Mallorca to stay up.
Those Honduran prospects in Girona might have a better chance of debuting in second division instead of first, imo as long as they turn pro is all that matters.
Jesus Christ what an absolutely gruesome injury that Romario Da Silva suffered, it’s the worst I’ve ever seen in a football match. Prayers to him and his family
Bryan Acosta of all people scores a double for Nashville against NE Revs in the MLS https://www.deportestvc.com/mas/bryan-acosta-doblete-nashville-video-new-england-mls-2026-05-13
Such a good point! Ultimately it's all about getting the opportunity at first team football. Speaking of which this Welson kid from Girona looks like a serious athlete looking at his stature for his age... imagine him, the Barca kid and Keyvan all coming through together.
USA just called up Keyvan but it’s not known if he has accepted yet. This U20 will likely see the majority of Eligible European players get called up.
Yeah I heard this was a pre-agreed call-up prior to the Keyrol agreement. We'll see, we're definitely more appealing now then ever before, that's for sure.
This is what happens when adults take over the federation. The project looks pleasing cuz there's finally a clear vision and pathway. Not just hope and words. U20s will take up shop in Spain and play three friendlies against teams like England in the hopes that scouts take notice of our talent. Now when's the last time we've EVER seen that sort of initiative within the NT? Never! Francis is using all of his recommendations and connections to make us competitive again.
This is like entering the Twilight Zone a reality that I never thought would exist, we have always had the youth talent to compete locally and qualify for Youth WCs but the preparation was always bare bones. Francis is wasting no time and is putting his foot on the gas, hope that this becomes the new normal when it comes to the U20/17s.
Valerio Marinacci to sign with Genesis for the next season. Looks like he really wants to try to make it to the NT. https://www.deportestvc.com/liga-na...nacional-para-la-proxima-temporada-2026-05-14

We can literally field and all Legionario U20 for this upcoming tournament, the expectations will be higher than ever but we landed in the hardest group out of the 3. FFH are taking this one extremely seriously.
Luis Palma becomes Ekstraklasa Champion with Lech Poznan, he scores a goal and assist in their 3-1 win to clinch the title. Celtic reportedly wants 4 million Euros for him but Lech Poznan have offered 2.3 million, strong rumors that Sevilla want him are likely willing to pay close to that fee. Personally I hope that he doesn’t stay at Celtic since they don’t look at him as a starter for their team.
I doubt that Celtic would be dumb enough to take him back just to bench him and destroy his stock that he raised this season with Poznan, they should sell high right now.
I’m looking forward to the Barrida that Olimpia are going to do this summer, they already signed 19 year old Cristian Canales to a 3 year contract. I only pray that Platense aren’t dumb enough to sell Erick Puerto to them and that Pinto doesn’t re-sign with the team and leaves to South America.
That would funny, Olimpia would basically get rid of their entire forward line up. Choco to Olimpia is basically guaranteed at this point and the Club should have given more minutes David Flores this season but I know that they punished him for the expulsion.
Levante are not out of it yet, they need to beat Real Betis in the last match day to secure their spot in La Liga otherwise they will be at the mercy of various results.
Man makes you wonder how far Kervin could have gone if he made the move to Europe at younger age really. His had a great season stats-wisd and that's with it being intermittent with starts.
I’m surprised at his trajectory after leaving the MLS, he was playing well there but it wasn’t enough to land in a better spot directly. He got sold incredibly cheap, thank god that he didn’t stay at Zaragoza.
I always thought he had the right attributes to go further then MLS. What might have been in question was his discpline but he also seems like he's got that dog in him - get the impression he's a big figure in the Levante dressing room from the clips I've seen. Sometimes that attitude can come in useful even if you get on the wrong side of a few managers. Contrast that with Edwin Rodriguez seems like he lacked the tenacity to break through in Greece when he had his shot.
