Faaack, what a shit show. Probably would have lost to Mexico in the next round anyway, assuming that's who we got. We definitely had a tougher group but that's besides the point, I actually welcomed that as previously we've slithered through easier groups then got thumped.
No u-20 WC and no Olympics is real disappointment but loosing 4-0 against a direct rival says a lot about this particular group of players. WC might have been doable but the Olympics was blatantly a long. Got to trust that Molina and Co are worth their weight now and can incorporate some of this group which has potential to form this coming generation. Ultimately, club football is what is going to fortify players to the highest level so let's hope that the likes of Balbas can make it professionally as a lot of our hopes are pinned on them, really. There's a lot of international club competitions that the likes of Suazo and Moncada will be playing already. Even Toulon international etc if these international competitions are so crucial then the Federation can request to be part of those.
Honduras was just awful overall even if there was some moments of really good futbol in between. Only salvageable players are Ramos, Inter Miami CB, Balbas, Alfredo Rodriguez, Mike Arana, Richard Martinez, the other leftback Davids? And maybe Salazar and Flores but everything else is kinda scrappable. I wish they went back to the old Olympic Qualifying format, I feel like it was better, the U23 or U21 Pre qualifying tournament.

Whatever about unlocking new players, we need the current generation to come together. Denil seems to get fit again and playing, is Sacazara still a feasible CB starter?
Idk if Sacaza is still a feasible starter. The season just started three days ago. We'll find out as the season goes on m8. Settle down
Luis Vega, Getsel Montes, the ghost of Julian Martinez.. If the Jeffrey Ramos transfer saga is over between Sociedad and Real España, I'd like to see how he gets on this season in La Liga 5 Estrellas for La Makina. At this point I stopped trying to formulate potential line-ups because it's always something with these call-ups. Either a player died, found Jesus, or quit to pursue tiktok.

Doubt there's much better than playing at La Masia, haha. More than likely dropped as surplus to very high requirements. Let's hope his career doesn't nose dive and he gets picked up by Espanyol, Girona or basically any other professional club.
My guess is he lost his spot once he represented us. Took up a foreign spot. Tough break for the kid but if he's really like that he'll find a club.

Hope that's not the case, not sure if youth teams have caps on foreign players until they need work permits unless they have international policies. Perhaps he knew ahead of time he wasn't going to be offered a contract and playing internationally put him in the shop window... you know failing to qualify for the WC and all, ha. Definitely another positive, don't get me wrong. Although I'm starting to think that merely tying these boys down isn't going to be enough. Ultimately, they need to break into professional football and play for it to convert into something for us... hopefully the addition of this guy will aid that process. If players like Suazo and the guy at Villarreal weren't let go recently hopefully that's an indicator that at least one or two may be able to break through.

Shrewsbury Town are among multiple Football League clubs reported to be interested in signing Liverpool academy starlet Keyrol Figueroa. Not exactly the most attractive destinations
Rosales is low key one of our most consistent players. It's a shame he's in his prime and not playing in Europe tbh, hope he's at least getting paid better in MLS. Doesn't matter where he goes now, he just needs to start playing first team football, and tbh maybe League 1 or 2 might be a better fit then jumping start in at Championship level. Not sure if it's that out of the ordinary but I'm not sure why loads of Football League clubs aren't going in for him on loan?
