Is it too early to start getting excited about the home opener? I purchased a flex pack this season, to make sure I make it back for a few games (currently living in the wilderness of Chicago). I just purchased my airline tickets for the weekend of the opener. Looking forward to going to the tail gate and catching up with folks (Tom what's on the grill?). Also looking forward to seeing the latest version of United take the field and hopefully man handle Chicago.

    Never too early!

Like the Fusion, the key may be getting out of the gate fast. Our team will need a while to gell, but if we can protect our home turf early, we should be in the thick of things all season. Many people are underrating us, so we might do just fine during that early gelling period. With veterans like Stewart, Hristo and Dema, I think we'll score a heck of a lot more on the road too. But at home, we were pretty darn solid even with the old cast. So I'm blindly optimistically looking for a win in the home opener.

I'm already throwing toilet paper and confetti out my car on the way to work, just to stay in practice.

You only think that's snow on the ground ;)
