Tailgating rocks! Fond memories of tailgating down in Happy Valley to see the Nittany Lions. Tried it outside Giants Stadium, it ain't bad but not as good. I'd like to see stadiums have special areas outside the stadium for Pre/post game festivities. Some Pavilions and picnic tables and some grills.
I believe the stadium itself cost $80 million and the rest of the complex cost $60 million. There are plans to build a hotel in the next couple of years.
I asked one of the staff this very question while viewing the stadium (which btw is awesome) and he stated that Sigi wanted a wide field so it will be 115x78. I hope he is right!
I read somewhere that the NFL was spending some pretty large bucks on a study of the possibility of building a stadium in Carson for an NFL Expansion team for the L.A. Market. NFL is taking a page out of our book, makes me think finally we are doing something right.
