FYI - Catherine has asked me to tell you all that it is easier for them to process it via checks.

So - if you want your ornament quickly pay with check.

I will try and post a picture of the ornament tomorrow.

    Thanks for the link Harksey!

    NICE!

ps-the order form can be print directly from BigSoccer. One needs to click on the Printeable Version link at the bottom of the page. While it is not a perfect order form, it is more than acceptable IMHO.

    Is this purchase tax-deductable?

I believe the rule is - and you can ask Catherine for sure- is that it is tax deductible above and beyond the value of the item you are receiving. I can't imagine that the ornament + shipping won't come close to $20.

However - and you didn't hear this from me - I think if you pay by check one may submit the cancelled check to their tax accountant and accidentily forgot to mention the ornament you received in return

    Bump

And two - you telling me your tree only has two branches on it? I figure I need at least ten to properly cover the tree.

Who has the room for a tree?

I plan to hang one in my office.

OK folks - lets step to the plate here. So far only 50 have been sold. This means I personally have accounted for 10% of the ornaments sold.

Now we all bitch and moan about not having merchandise and this opportunity comes up and we are failing miserably to convince DC that they can sell more merchandise and break even.

I got my 10% about a week ago.

So that makes a grand total of 20% from only two people.

Of course we both will be laughing at everyone else when we sell them for a 500% profit on ebay! :D

    ...just kidding! :)

Make that 32% from 3 people. I'm surprised that so few have been sold. There seemed to be a lot of interest when the idea was first floated. I suppose there are always procrastinators, so hopefully they'll get more orders. Like JH6 said, we keep asking for more stuff, so we really ought to buy it when they come up with the goods. If we don't we're bad, bad fans. ;)

Have people received them? We placed an order for 2 (I guess last week?) and nothing has come.

FYI, I just ordered two over the phone and I ended up placing the order with Catherine, who said that they would begin processing the orders next week.

I didn't ask her if that included all orders received up to this point, but I'd be willing to guess that is the case.

As a single guy who doesn't put up a Christmas tree in his apartment, I have absolutely no (current) use for these, but will order at least one anyway.

But, as to your point of proving anything to United, I'm pretty sure this item wasn't on the pre-season wish list and that list consisted of 20 or more things. Did any of those items show up at RFK this year? You'd think at least the #1 most popular item (coffee mug, was it?) would have been tried.

English third division clubs with 3,000 average attendance have loads more items than we have (ties, mugs, umbrellas, mouse pads, personalized jerseys, even cuff links!). http://www.tufcshop.co.uk/
