Groundskeepers beware!! One SE Brigade has already put together a foursome and the email blast isn't even 10 hours old! Who else is ready to match them? To help the process along, read the details for SE members at the end of this blurb... Details: The Sixth Annual United Celebrity Golf Tournament, presented by Geico and United Bank. Golfers will gather at Raspberry Falls Golf and Hunt Club in Leesburg, Virginia for a 1:30 p.m. ET shotgun start on Monday, June 18. Participants in this year's event will play alongside current and former United players and coaches as well as a host of other local sports and media celebrities, all while raising money for United for D.C. Much more can be found here. Groups may donate $900 to form a foursome, to be paired with a fifth player, that being a celebrity, and individuals may participate by donating $250 for a playing slot. The SE Outreach Committee has decided to make it even easier for our members to participate in this wonderful event and you won't even need to haul out your abacus. Each Screaming Eagles foursome will be able to play for $800 as we will kick in the other $100 to keep the price similar to last year. That means that when you get your foursome together each individual golfer will actually be saving $50 apiece. If you just want to jump in on a group of fellow SE's that is forming a team, just drop a note to outreach@screaming-eagles.com and we will help to get you together. Quick update on matchday - I have space for one more on the second Screaming Eagles foursome. Believe me you would much rather see me with camera in hand than a nine iron Just track me down at the tailgate or drop me a note at outreach@screaming-eagles.com if you would like my spot. Rumor has it that Mathai has been spotted training a special caddy just for the occasion KGDG Come On United (States and DC) www.screaming-eagles.com A flute without holes, is not a flute. A donut without a hole, is a Danish.
Bump. Wish I could make it but I start a new job a week prior to the outing. It's practically in my back yard this year and my buddy has played there a lot and loves the course. It's a lot of fun out there, DCU does a fine job and I recommend this highly. Added bonus is if the Barra group is behind you. The laughs you get from them are worth the entry fee itself.
We still have space for one more on the second SE team. Contact David at outreach@screaming-eagles.com K
