Now, they will have a larger audience to showcase their historic event. ESPN 2 and ESPN Deportes will simulcast One World Sports’ live telecast from Havana, Cuba this coming Tuesday, June 2nd. Gametime is 5pm ET
Pretty cool that ESPN2 will be airing OWS's feed of this match, NASL and their clubs need more of this type of mainstream promotion and attention to build some brand recognition.

Surprised to see Raul play all those minutes, specially since the game started to get rough towards the end. Then again it seems like they respected Raul. Glad to see Hagi Wright get some minutes, he looked good. Was the attendance announced ? Looked like at least 7 or 8k, either way good exposure for the Cosmos and the NASL.
New York Cosmos defeat Cuban national team in friendly amid detente http://www.si.com/planet-futbol/2015/06/03/new-york-cosmos-defeat-cubs-friendly-detente The New York Cosmos have made history before, just not in this manner. The Cosmos defeated Cuba's national team 4-1 Tuesday in a friendly that was the first visit to the island by a U.S. professional team since the two countries began their detente effort in December.
I read the attendance was around 15000.... Overall it was a well televised event globally. I actually watched it live in South Africa on their Super Sports channel.
Attendance in Cuba was 18,000 : http://www.nasl.com/news/2015/06/03...-league-recognize-vast-potential-in-Caribbean "The Cosmos recorded a 4-1 victory over Cuba before 18,000 fans, who cheered for both sides and even applauded the U.S. national anthem before the match."
