Don't they charter a flight ? This makes no sense.

^ Yeah, the flight ban is to discourage long-distance travel. But they're going to BCN one way or the other so that makes zero sense. I suspect common sense will prevail eventually and they will be able to fly.

Current rule in Italy is you can’t travel without providing a legit reason. So nothing stopping them from flying to BCN unless something changes drastically in the next 4 days.

Yeah I think all sporting competitions are done for this year.

The likes of France UK Germany will have a surge like Italy in the next week or so. All leagues will be cancelled, CL, EU and Euros too. Olympics too

Kinda sucks but it must be done.

Speaking of I am highly disappointed with the responses of the richest countries in the world sans S Korea. USA Italy UK France Spain Germany all shit the bed. You can point out at how China is a dictatorship so of course they handled it well. S Korea aren't

My country has had much better response than those countries.

To be fair, nobody knows if China is lying about having it under control. But yeah, in China you can quarantine and control people better even if it has a massive population ... Americans don't like to be told what to do or to be controlled. And Trump's comments about the danger of this flu have been just ... well ... completely expected coming from him. I don't do much twitter but it's sad to see people just calling it a ploy to take him down and fake news and the flu kills more people and blah blah blah ... not only twitter but people in the media.

True. What else are they gonna say? All we know is that they are responsible for it. :devilish:

Anyways ... I think it's pretty certain at this point that the league will be stopped for a period of time. It's gonna probably be a month or so.

CL will go the same way. Today's and tomorrow's games might be the final games played.

The number of cases have started to blow up. A week form now it will as bad as Italy is currently

Almost a certainty. The most the will get off are the games today IMO.

Yeah, its a mess. No idea how they're gonna find the time to make-up the games if a whole month of league fixtures are postponed. I shouldn't even write "if" since its already a certainty in Italy. Italy is tossing around the idea of playoffs.

Champions league might be easier to make-up lost time. Theoretically you can play the last 3 KO rounds in 15 days give or take.

I'd go with the 70% rule ... 70% of games played and league title counts :sneaky:

Major tip of foot save from BVB keeper.

Neymar took a dive earlier in the game and messed up his shoulder. :ROFLMAO:

Neymar header goal puts PSG ahead. Goes to celebrate straight with Mbappe on the bench.

Napoli probably will not travel to Spain. The match may be cancelled.

Everything will be off by next week if not the weekend.

Only leagues I see going on are the ones in LATAM for now.

Juventus game will not take place, they will have to quarantine entire squad for at least 2 weeks since Rugani is positive. Lyon game postpone most likely.

La Liga suspended for two weeks now due to quarantine of Real Madrid.

Well, there are 4 scenarios for what to do with La Liga. Two of them would result in Barca being declared champions (i.e. base it on current table or base it on the table after 19 matchdays).

Of course a third option is to play out the remaining fixtures when the virus subsides. At least we should have a healthy Suarez and Messi. Fourth option is to declare season null and void.

The problem is the relegation teams. They are not going to want to be relegated on a shortened season. 3rd option is best. If that can't be done, 4th is the most fair.

They could have a relegation playoff, but yeah.... hard to get everyone involved to agree in the format. Teams that are 8-10 points above Asspanyol are not gonna want to be put in a playoff where everyone re-starts from the same point.
A 22-team La Liga next season is yet another option (so count the season, but nobody gets relegated, invite the top 2 from Segunda).

I think what will happen is that the leagues will resume in early June. Followed by the 2020-2021 CL qualifiers will run simultaneously with the quarters/semis and final of this year's CL.

Euros will be cancelled 100% but hey they are spread across multiple countries so no country will take a huge hit
