I can't believe I'm admitting to this but... Aimer... we have something very much in common. I love this series - definitely one of the cult followers. But unfortunately I don't get TNN so cannot catch it. I love Tessa though in this series. That actress was adorable. I think the series picked up towards the end of season 1 and the best was in the third and fifth season (pissed off Richie). Remember the Evil Duncan MacCloud? Cannot spell his name correctly....
my fave ep was the two-parter where Methos reunites with his 4 Horsemen buddies. Tonight was, I believe, "Free Fall" which is the Joan Jett episode. I'm going to have to watch it on tape since I missed it tonight while out and about. ah, the dark quickening....I love the line "well well well, ain't life hell?" from that ep! God, between Adrian Paul and David Boreanaz, those two play evil soooo well. And guess what? Buffy connection to Highlander.....the guy who plays Giles, Anthony Stewart Head, was in an episode of Highlander...and another...Alexis Denisof (Wesley on Buffy and Angel) was in another ep And so was Eric McCormack of Will and Grace fame. holy crap...seriously check out the guest appearances on imdb.
That was a good one - the four horsemen one. I can't remember McCloud's last words in that one but it was hilarious what he said after Kronos said: "I am the end of time!" Something like: "Your time is up." I knew that those dudes from "Buffy" and "Angel" were familiar. All of those types of shows sort of mix the stars in one way - I think they were on similar networks? I remember Highlander was on USA back in the day - with Le Femme Nikita. Hey, Adrian Paul was on a show somewhat recently with Tia Carrere - the Tomb Raider like show that she does late night on Saturdays. I've seen Methos on a few TV shows too. But after connecting those guys with Highlander, in the back of my mind I'm half-way thinking they'll pull out broad swords and katanas and start slashing away. FYI: I for one was pissed when they offed Richie at the end of Season five with that whole Ahriman thing.
those were reruns on USA.....First-run highlander aired on local stations in syndicated spots. WGN ran it too, but they were usually a week behind. Peter Wingfield was on John Doe and Dead Zone lately. I last saw Stan Kirsch (Richie) on JAG Adrian Paul was on Charmed about 2 weeks ago. Richie isn't dead, that's sorta like Bobby in the shower on Dallas.
tonight's special musical actor (running theme for the first two seasons, I think)....Vanity! Joan Jett was the other night. Hey Buffy fans....Giles is coming soon.
