Does anyone know if you can take a tour of Highbury during the offseason? I will be in London the first week in June. I know the museum is open on certain days of the week, but I was wondering if they gave tours of the grounds etc. Thanks
Good question. I too will be in London sometime during the first few days of June on a lay over. How much do they cost too? Oh well, just to even see the outside of Highbury and point it out to the people on my team would be great. Say does anyone know how to get there and how long it takes to get there from either Heathrow or Gatwick?
From Heathrow to Arsenal (Piccadilly Line) 74 Minutes. From Victoria to Arsenal (Victoria Line) switch at Finsbury Park to Piccadilly Line to Arsenal. 29 Minutes. To get to Victoria you would have to catch the Gatwick express from Gatwick and then catch the tube from there. I got my info from thetube.com Not sure on the cost. Last tour I took was in 1997.
May I suggest getting off at finsbury park(both piccadilly & victoria lines) and paying the Arsenal store a visit, it's only a five minute walk to the stadium from there.
while in and around highbury, be sure to stop off at "Gunners" pub... a great little pub to talk footie and ave a good pint~~
Does anyone know what the tour entails? I went to a few games while i lived over there so i know the stadium pretty well and would like to go to the museum sober. Do they take you onto the field show locker rooms or anything like that? I need to stop by the arsenal store at finsbury park too, i promised someone on this board to get them an arsenal monoploy.
Does anyone know which day the tours are. I am headed over this Thursday and I want to get in if possible. Also, what is the best way to get tickets? They are at home twice while I am there.
While we're on the topic of stadium tours, etc., does anyone know when the fixture schedule for next season comes out? I'm planning a trip to London in late September and wanted to try to catch a match.
tickets You can always find someone selling tickets outside, just walk round and keep your ears peeled, word of advice: leave it until as close to kick off as you can to get a better price on the ticket. DONT pay more than £40.
