Just got the catalog for the final Highbury auction on July 29th - lots of great things going on sale, especially photographs.....If your a collector, it's definitely a good buy....Hopefully I can pick something up at the end of the month.

From what I remember reading on the website, they have a list of companies that will help arrange shipping. You of course have to do all the legwork by contacting said company and whatnot.

    Signs?
I would be interested in a sign from the stadium...
I saw some online, when they were showing some Auction stuff...
but I didn't follow up on it...

Are there any/many stadium signs in the Catalog?

I might actually buy some things this time. I want to buy a pub in the basement (saw this in another home and loved it) and was going to do it in Ohio State and Arsenal so having some things from Highbury would be fantastic. Have to see what prices are like though. With the shipping company fees and the 17.5% additional fee, this might end up being too much.

Are there any sports memorabilia [sp?] stores in London that anyone has used? I figure if I miss out on making any buys in the auction, I'll buy some things in London next time I am there.

I'm thinking of signing up. 99.9% of the lots will probably be too rich for my budget but might be worth wasting a few hours for a chance to pick up one of the many great items. Looks like a tough process to get things paid for, collected/packed, and shipped to my home.

Yeah, I think that's going to be a major hit. I've asked for a rough quote on collecting, packaging and shipping a couple items so I can set my budget. We'll see.

My seat cost 25, but the collecting, packaging and shipping is another 80 squid. Ugh.
