As a matter of fact, Nakata's career ended in misery. After World Cup 2006, Bolton rejected Nakata so Nakata had nowhere else to go. So he retired and decided to go on study in MBA course. Nakata had one great season, but after he transferred to AS ROMA, he became a back-up member of Fransesco Totti and had to leave Roma. He lost to Totti in competition. And afterwards, Nakata's career went downhill. He may be a legend of Japanese football, but he is a sore loser in European football.
But he was telling the truth. Totti won and Nakata lost. Totti won and was able to keep playing for AS ROMA while Nakata had to go to other club since he was no better than Totti. Hey, stop giving childish excuses. The more you give such pointless excuses, the image of Japanese people get worsen. By the way, it is true that Nakata is nothing special in international football.
man, what happened to hidetoshi's image. god damn he had one of the coolest asian images EVER, none of that metrosexual crap that seems to take over these days. and furthermore he was one of asia's best soccer players! can't believe this guy retired i thought he was at least playing in j league or something until recently i found out he retired. asia needs to produce more players like hidetoshi!
Hasehmian is much better than Nakata. Though Hashemian is FW while Nakata was MF, Hashemian scored 16 goals in the league(Bundesliga) 2 years ago. Nakata was one of the best soccer player in Asia. But he couldn't catch up Bum Keun Cha's collective achievement as well as Ali Daei's achievement.
Score a lot a goal isn't mean he is better than Nakata, Nakata have helping his former club AS-Roma to win Serie A, thats add a point that Nakata at least better than Hasehmian.
Ok, I think this is what Nakata was up to... thus the training... http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/hl?a=20080514-00000018-maiall-socc
