    - Kim Ho-gon has been summoned by the National Assembly for inspection regarding the Hiddink issue that he lied about (There is an ongoing audit focusing on sports and both Kim Ho-gon and Noh Je-ho are among the 29 members called up for inspection).

    - Kim Ho-gon is using FIFA's policy as a bypass card to not attend the inspection. FIFA's policy condemns any outside and foreign intervention including politics to which by attending the inspection could result in sanctions i.e. KNT getting banned from the WC next year and other disciplinary actions.

It's pretty hot given the fact that his lies and actions drew large attention enough to be summoned by the National Assembly. It doesn't guarantee a change of the KFA but enough for him to resign, but of course he's using FIFA's policy to escape the issue.

Here's clips of Jo Joong-yeon and Kim Joo-sung getting grilled by 최재천 의원 during the inspection back in 2012:

I'm all for Hiddink managing back-room negotiations in place of KFA's incompetence, but managing a NT? No.

The alcoholic asshole who was bitter that he got cut from the KNT when he acted like he had the spot already and got replaced by far better younger talent which went on a historic run in 2002 is bitter at Hiddink? Color me surprised.

You'd probably be a great mod for this place but you're way too naive for this post, real talk.

Well, the Hiddink saga is officially over. KFA & Hiddink met in Cannes, France yesterday. Hiddink declined any official role, but said he was open to helping out unofficially whenever he can. He also cancelled his visit to the Korea-Russia match and is gonna be visiting Korea in October sometime.

actually the more I think about it, I feel like Hiddink is indirectly saying that unless it's a head coach position, he won't take on an official role, but that's just my opinion.

    Its

    1. Hiddink had no intends to have an official role from the beginning
    2. Hiddink only wanted the manager post
    3. the offer by KFA were ridiculous so Hiddink got angered
    4. the KFA is messing with us again (with false media reports)
    5. Hiddink was blackmailed by KFA and has stepped away

It's not an opinion, it is what Hiddink wants/wanted.

    Originally, it was intended to be 1., 2., 3., 4. or 5.

But going through it again, it can also be read as a process from 1. to 5. and it still doesn't feel awkward XD

How could KFA have blackmailed Hiddink? I don't get this part.

I guess that means Hiddink won't be able to do anything for the team then.

So will the KFA fire STY and replace him with Guus after tonight's debacle?

It's true that Shin only had two weeks, but the bigger problem imo with his games was never the result. It's that we looked no better than we did during the Stielike era. No clear sign of what STY was doing better than Stielike. He's also ignoring that STY has a track record that extends beyond 3 games, which isn't exactly inspiring. The stuff about honoring your contract is also nonsense since (afaik) STY was hired as a caretaker. We shouldn't be obliged to extend a caretaker, especially if he's given us no reason to believe he can improve the team.

You guys give way too much credit to Kim Horogon. He is and always has been a stupid jock. The real culprit is Jung MK. He sees himself as a big boss who stands firm in support of "his men". That pint sized shrimp... really funny.

He is incredibly obstinate and according to Shin Moonsun, incredibly stingy, has not spent a cent of his money for KFA. What is the purpose of having a rich moron as KFA president if not for financial reasons? Jung probably thinks it is his integrity and the "size of his personality" that got him elected. LOL

He is not going to budge. STY is our WC coach.
