Wassup fellow Red devils, I'm knew to the board just registered today so Hi .

Plenty of good threads and chat and boy are the transfer rumours rife.

But anyway, I'm thinking that PABLO AIMAR would be a great signing for us as an attacking creative midfielder especially for europe he is awsome when on top form. He has had a few injuries at Valencia last season but is making a come back would add the obvious lack of creativity to the midfield that we have at the moment. What do you guys think?

I was hopeful about TORRES coming but since SMITH (not my first choice by far) signed that won’t happen and now I don't think we need another striker especially for the money he would cost we should concentrate our resources on other areas.

It Seems that we have signed HEINZE from PSG for 6mil so that is good defensive backup for a good price.

We do need a strong box to box midfielder KEANES understudy. GERRARD will simply not happen so who do we go for? We need someone experienced, mid 20’s, strong, proven but with extra potential so I do not think the answer to this position is obvious. I don’t like suggestions like VAN BOMMEL who has never impressed me and D FLETCHER does not fill me with too much confidence, he’s alright and young but he gives the ball away too often, has no goal threat and does not have the best pair of lungs to run around for 90mins. I do think that DJEMBAX2 has got potential but to serve Man Utd as NICKY BUTT has and lets face it he was NEVER first choice in a best Man Utd 11. I’m worried about this position any suggestions you guys???

So the only other signing we should make and spend a large sum on should be a top world class left sided midfielder as Giggs does not do what he used to and goes inside very often. Ronaldo is fantastic on the right as he proved in the final but I think he should be allowed the ability to float as he has so much abillity rather than only concentrate on staying on the touchline, we would get the most out of him that way. Someone with similar qualities to beckham who can spread the ball well and early on the left hand side so we have that first time ball direct threat that RVN thrived on when Beckham was here. Any realistic suggestions you guys? Possibly ROTHEN? Preferably JOAQUIN!
My preferred team for next season would be….

    HOWARD

    G NEVILLE FERDINAND HEINZE O’SHEA / SILVESTRE

RONALDO AIMAR / SCHOLES KEANE JOAQUIN / GIGGS

    SAHA / SMITH

Hi Bounty Hunta, welcome to BigSoccer and the Man Unied board. Some good input, however if you look around, you'll see a couple of other threads dedicated to speculating on who we should pick up this summer.

A lot of the talk goes on in the "Summer 2004 Transfer Rumor Thread", as well as threads like "Why are we always the last to make the big moves?", "For all the talk of our defensive woes...", and "Which of these players would you want at OT the most?"

Take a look at some of those first, because chances are a lot of the stuff you have to say may already be in there. Also if you are looking for specific info, the Search function is useful to prevent the board from getting cluttered. Don't be afraid to discuss or ask questions, just try to keep them in the right place.

    Enjoy :)

Sorry to say but that team is never going to happen.
    More like:
    HOWARD
    G NEVILLE/O’SHEA FERDINAND HEINZE SILVESTRE
    RONALDO SCHOLES/Miller KEANE/Fletcher GIGGS
    SAHA/SMITH RVN

You under rate Fletcher. Hes a brilliant player. Capton of Scotland to.

Thanks for the welcome Achtung :) i'll take your advice at where I place my posts in future.
Oh and bytheway i'm not saying the boy Fletcher is crap what I am saying is that he is certainly NOT brilliant as you think and congratulations to him as captain of Scotland but honestly is it really warranted and lets face it that team is not littered with obvious leaders just my opinion though..... but he does have some potential, possibly world class though? i'm not sure. And remember thats what we want "world class" not mediocore. cheers
