soccer is universal there is no different either you're 13 or 26 or 70, everyone speaks in the same language, soccer language that's what makes this sport is the best sport on this planet.
we have some kids somewhere.. i'm kinda a kid.. i'm only 17.. thats pretty young around here.. but i know we have some other youngins...13... 14... where is suzie lol
haha hence the name soccerbaby how old was i when i first came here... hmmm jan. 2000... just barely 15 aww lol
I didn't intend to drive anyone away. It's just that this tends to be a fairly serious forum, with lots of analysis and even more trash-talking (kind of a guy forum). If you want more of an inclusive, upbeat "gosh wow! women's soccer is cool!" attitude, the WUSA boards are the place to go.
fan clubs is serious?! whoa when did that happen?! lol i mean i know some of us like to argue a lot and fight with random people but come on... SERIOUS?! this isnt the analysis forum.
Yeah what Court said. FCM has always been the "rah rah I love Sara Whalen and the USWNT is cool" type of forum. But it has certainly died down. Same can be said for SSS. One of the problems I have with the WUSA boards is that they are difficult to naviagate through and the visuals give me a headache.
My little sister is a kid. She's 14, almost 15. She visits bigsoccer every now and then. Not much lately--between school, studying, and soccer she barely has time to breath. Sorry, I'm not a kid (by age) anymore, though by just a couple of years. There's a "Youth" forum somewhere here on bigsoccer, but I've never posted in that forum so I'm not sure what goes on there. It's true that you'll probably find more kids on the wusa.com boards, but over there it's a lot more specific. The wusa.com boards are for talk about WUSA. Bigsoccer boards are for any talk about soccer, including personal experience. Bigsoccer also has Off Topic forums. Just because the forums at wusa.com are named after the 8 teams + one "WUSA" board, though, doesn't keep people from venturing off topic. So at wusa.com, people pretty much will talk about anything. Anything polite, that is.
SkaterGirl, first of all, congratulations on your promotion to your team. I personally feel that there are quite a few (if not a majority of) teenagers on here. But there are those of us who represent the older and younger ends of a rather wide age spectrum. You are 13(?), I'm 26 (turning 27 in December). There are people older than us on these boards, and people younger than us on these boards. I think it's all ok, as long as we're comfortable. I certainly am. On the earlier note, it seems to me that "Strikers" is a very often used name for a soccer team (maybe I'm wrong). Can you maybe clarify what soccer club you belong to, and/or give us a link? Once again, congratulations. I hope it goes well and I hope you feel comfortable here, or find a good place to post. Cheers, Cory
I phrased it badly: I intended to refer to bigsoccer.com as a whole, not just this part of it (which is certainly lighter than the rest, though I still think it's more serious than just about any of WUSA.com).
