Hey all, new fan here. Totally pumped to check out BMO Field and see my Toronto FC boys in action!

Quick question. My buddy and I are coming from the states and we want to know if tailgating is a big thing there. We were going to bring a grill, soccer ball, beers etc but only if there is a decent tailgating crowd. Can any offer any information as to how the scene was on opening day?

    Thanks and go Toronto!!

It's not huge all over but you can do it.

We've had about 60 Red Patch Boys tailgating in Lot G immediately east of the stadium. We start 2 ours before gametime on Saturday and Sunday games. We don't do it on weekday games. Feel free to join in

Thanks for the info guys! Now, are those lots with tailgaters near the exit so that I don't have to sit in traffic for 45 minutes are so? I have read on this site that exiting the stadium lot can be a pain so ideally I'd like to tailgate in a lot that is near the exit so I don't have to wait.

Here's a suggestion for any tailgaters:

This month's Toronto Life magazine features the specialty cuisine of BMO Field. If you haven't tried it yet, we highly recommend picking up a scotch egg, chip butty, aranci, cornbread sandwich or chicken roti and if you're really adventurous why not try all five!

probably couldnt try all 5 in one sitting....or maybe you can....cornbread portuguese sandwich isnt that tasty (my opinion) Aranci good, havent tried the chip butty yet, not sure if i would want to....how many calories is that.
