I see Wondo is still listed on the Quakes site as "U23 Individual Development Programming Head". Does anybody know what that entails?
Just saw over the weekend the Rapids unveiled a 17 statue in honor of Marcelo Balboa and had a pre game event honoring him, it seems the Quakes have done nothing for Wondo, was there not something in the works regarding a statue for Wondo, and unless i am forgetting has his number been retired yet?
If anyone remembers the 2010 World Cup Nike ad (my favorite all time soccer commercial, or infomercial) one of the last scenes shows a 50-foot high statue of Ronaldo -- not our new player -- being unveiled. Wondo deserves at least that!
Yeah but if Wondo gets a statue we have to be careful who we hire to do it. Not the guy that did this. Nor the guy who did this:
