henry ring at USC I watched Henry Ring play for Mark Berson at Carolina for a couple of years. One of the best college keepers I have seen; not quite Adin Brown but better than Doug Warren. I hope Ring gets a chance with the Fire.
I also watched Ring and Warren play college ball. Ring has great size and is a good shot blocker but the games I saw he was indecisive on crosses and was slow getting the ball back into play. Warren seems to play with more confidence and IMO is more talented. I think Warren's coaching has been better, and it shows in positioning, distribution, etc....both are solid choices, either capable of filling a starting role in MLS.
I think it's right in the print edition. It didn't look wrong there. But it's in the car. I'll have to take a look.
Seems like we rag on 'em when they don't give us any coverage, and then we rag on 'em when they do. Yeah, the author should have gotten it right, but at least "Harry" got mentioned. Maybe writers will give us a bit more notice when we thank them for their coverage while we include a small explanation or a correction that will help them to be more accurate the next time.
Goalie What's so wrong with saying goalie? It's no more incorrect than calling Dave Sarachan a "coach". Who cares?
