hey guys starting in may i will be in texas for 25 weeks for military(airforce) training/tech school once my curfew is off i hope to go see Burn games because i want to salvage as much of the MLS season as possible. Does anyone know about how far it is from goodfellow AFB to dallas? also does anyone live down near goodfellow that wouldn't mind carpooling and or is looking to make a friend for a few months?

    thanks for any help!

You will probably have to renounce all ties with Chicago first!

What city is that air base located?

San Angelo is about 280 miles west of Dallas. Good luck finding someone to ride with. There has got to be somebody else in San Angelo than wants to see a Burn game.

When you get to the Cotton Bowl make sure you get a ticket on the GA side and come stand with the Inferno. First beer is on me.

If I'm ever in Lubbock I'll swing down and pick you up on my way back. I'm off for the summers and so far I don't think I'll be working.

sorry about the delayed response. 280 is pretty brutal but i think i can handle it once a month or so especially if i can get rides thanks for your responses and keep me posted wanderer.

as far as renouncing my fire ties. how about i just wear a tottenham kit? and we can all pretend that i know nothing of the fire.

my first duty assignment was Goodfellow,,,,nice little town,,,,lots of pretty college ladies at angelo st. You should have alot of fun there. If you can't get lucky there then you have a big problem. There is an aero club on base,,,,you might want to check out when the games are and see if anyone is flying to dallas that weekend,,,,I am sure if u pitch in for gas you will be all set. Dallas is a pretty good drive,,,went to see the pats play dallas there,,,it just a little under 4 hours,,,at least thats what we made it in,,,,,watch out for the steers that wander onto the high way. Best bet is to just rent a car and go for the weekend,,,,,MWR on base can get tickets to anything,,,,they had season tickets for the cowboys and rangers but that was way back along time ago. I was fresh out of tech school when i went there....looking possibly retiring in november. have fun at tech school......cypto? linguist?

wow thanks for the heads up! nothing brightens your day like find out you're getting sent to a place for 19 weeks where they've got a Tang U.

i'm doing intelligence applications/(photo)analysis and crossing my fingers it'll get me sent to the UK.
